What leaves your phone

The memory you capture each day is sent, as a picture, to our service (hosted on Convex) and from there to fal.ai, which runs OpenAI's image model, to be turned into a memory. It is used only for that generation and is not retained by us afterwards; the app asks for your permission before the first one is sent. Memories are AI-generated illustrations of what you captured. The finished memory is stored so it can be delivered to you and, only if you choose to share it, shown on a public page.

What we keep

An anonymous identifier for your install, used to count your free memory and any referral credits; your subscription status, which Apple reports to us; and memories you share. Your wall lives on your phone and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud storage that we cannot read.

Usage data

The app reports anonymous usage events (for example "a memory was revealed" or "the paywall was shown") to our service and to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics provider. These carry a random install identifier and no personal information, are not linked to you, and are not used for advertising or tracking.

Camera and notifications

The camera is used only when you press the shutter to capture a memory. Notifications are local to your phone and can be switched off in Settings.
